Had to wait like 5 days for a press to be in stock locally. Nothing online was worth the markup or shipping over china freight. Flatbed might be back up by Sunday night assuming I didn't bend my control arms with the bottle jack bushing removal method. Also throwing some cheap KYB front shocks on the front.

I tried just heating them for a few minutes like all the write ups suggest. That didn’t work. Then I held a torch on it for 15 minutes moving in circles. When I went to press them out the rubber just separated and left the inner sleeve.

The bushings are way newer than most and only had 10K miles before failure because Chinese autozone parts are terrible.

Just curious, did you try using a saw to cut the inner sleeve?

You were lucky in that the bushing was still vulcanized together

Does the outer sleeve need to come out for ES bushings?

    they don’t for the uppers

I’m afraid to take a sawzall to them. If I ruin these arms I don’t have any options left besides buying new or used OEM.

You are replacing with traditional vulcanized rubber ones right?

Nah I'm doing whiteline. In all reality I would've come out ahead just buying new OEM arms. But I also need a press for a lot of other things so decided to eat the cost now.
