    Hello all!

Soooo.... I owned for 19 years a 2003 PreRunner (4 door / green). Last year, 19 years old / 98K mi I sold it private party for $10K. I was quite happy with that figure.

So after almost 20 years, with very little trouble over all, considering the years I had owned it, it was time for something new. Now... I'm 6'3" and honestly NEVER really was that comfortable in my truck, but I was also 20 years younger when I bought it. For me, these days I haul around my "work tools" (cameras and lighting gear) and on weekends a couple of mountain bikes or some camping gear. I don't and never have towed a trailer, and don't haul loads of cinder blocks. Off road wise, when I am in the dirt, it's graded dirt roads, not much more. So... I decided I'd try something else...

I bought a 2020 Honda Ridgline RTL-E. Added some fun bits to it and it seemed to be pretty much the right truck (and let's not get into the "it's not a truck" thing) for me, the way I need to use a truck. AND it is without a doubt WAY more comfortable to drive (cab size / seats) for someone that is tall-ish.

But... very shortly I discovered (Google up "Ridgeline water leak") a very unfortunate thing... My BRAND NEW truck LEAKS. Water enters the cab from a couple of places. Needless to say I am p!ssed.

Anyway, as I type this my "truck" is at the dealer for the second time now (first time replaced the rear window, and while doing so damaged the headliner), and has been there two weeks. They are basically removing the interior of my truck including the headliner, A, B, and C pillars to look for the source (the source is known and well documented, but you know, they have to "go by the book", it is the weld seams not being sealed).

Well, IF and when I get it back (now just less than 4k miles on it) I'm getting rid of it. This has been, and surely will be a mess. Can you imagine, removing much of your interior to search for leaks in what is basically a new car (truck)? It will NEVER be right (or not damaged) after.

But... so... right now very little inventory (W. Los Angeles) of most any vehicle. Thankfully in a way, my wife has been and will continue to work from home (pandemic) well into the coming year. So we could get by with just one vehicle for a while.

Well, so IF the fit for a taller guy was better it would be a no questions asked answer - TACO. I'd be looking for a 2022 TRD Off Road OR Limited.

Anyway, in the coming days I'm trying to find some 2021 (basically the same size / fit as the 2022's will be) to see if I can make a new TACO fit wisework for me (again).

Here's a pic or two of the old TACO and the "leaking" Ridgeline.

Welcome! My first car was a 2008 Honda Ridgeline. I love the swing out tailgate and the trunk under the bed
