Did you already contact the police/file a police report?

    Does the apartment have cameras?

I fail to understand the relevancy of this question?

Yes, The police were the first to be contacted... Followed by insurance...The Apartment Management Company.... Then neighbors to acquire footage.

Thank you for the suggestions though

I think he's trying to say if you locked it, it might not have happened, or you might've heard them.
Still doesn't make it your fault. That's like victimizing the criminal for being tempted.

It was just a question, curious on how they got in.

This...... I have had both my Tacomas stolen, once because I left the keys on the floorboard.

Well, for the record, the sliding door was locked, but appears to not take much"Wiggling" to open. Its the scaling up the side of the wall to get on the porch that amazed me.

It was a nice truck (imho) and I'm sure someone found it appealing too. Happy to have it found, but not counting on it. I hope someone out there gets a good deal on the parts, if I do not recover it ofcourse.

Hoping that if I spread the word and photos far enough and fast enough, that we may get lucky. But I live in central Austin, Hyde Park, an affluent area of town... however, since COVID, all areas have shown an increase in petty theft. Tough world sometimes.

Thanks for all the help, I really do appreciate the communities response to trying to catch them.

Sorry about your truck, it does suck to have it happen.
    Did security footage reveal anything?

The 07 that was stolen, they recovered it 4 months later in virtually the same condition it was stolen... they put a bed side sticker on it, took my stickers off the back window and changed the nerf bar side rails from chrome to black.
My 17 was recovered 2 days later with minor damage.
    Good luck:fingerscrossed:
