    Good Thursday,

I drive a 2015 Crew Cab Limited 4x4 Long Bed. I have noticed a faint high pitched whining noise when I steer left and right. The noise is soft and I actually only here it at low speeds. Road noise at high speed drowns it out. Steering is operating perfectly otherwise. I have a 2”‘lift and LT265/70R18 T/A Tires.

    Anyone else experienced this noise?

    Appreciate your response!!!

Power steering pump was my first thought also but I understand the power steering is electric. Any experience with an electric power steering in a Tacoma?

I don't think so on a second generation Tacoma. Tacoma's all use hydraulic power steering.

    None that I’ve seen.

Sound like a pump to me too?

Check your power steering fluid level.!!! It might be low.

How many miles on it? You might need a fluid change, as well. Hopefully it's not the PS pump. Check the fluid level first.

Have you flushed the fluid and made sure the level is correct? Its a lot cheaper than a new rack.
