Hey all. Im about to upgrade from ownership of my '09 Sport Access cab 6cyl 4x4 to the same truck in a 2013 model with a fraction of the mileage. I plan to install the same Toyotec 3" lift just like my '09 but otherwise keep it stock. Anything about a 2013 model to look out for?

Might look up the uni filter mod for the SAIS system that was introduced on the 2012+ v6's. Other than that its essentially the same truck with the same quirks not much difference.

While I don’t have any experience with the audio system in those years, I’ve seen enough post on here to know you might want to look at a new head unit.

I seems like I see post about the OE system on a monthly bases.

I enjoy my non nav entune in my 2013, simple touch screen functions with good physical button layout, great integration to the steering wheel and bluetooth audio. Upgrade the speakers in the doors and it plays music great.

Yeah I'd say its one of the better stock head units I've used honestly. Its quite simple but never really had any issues with it... knock on wood. Rear door speakers break up quite easily is the only real thing I've noticed, but no fault of the head unit.

I'm not sure if this is true but I think the 13 is also the only year with the backup camera in the mirror rather than the head unit as well. I kind of like this better. I could be wrong about this though.

Compass and temp up in the mirror also on the 13s. Backup camera is up in the mirror but you can get a kit to put it in the head unit. Uni filter mod like mentioned above.

09-13 All had backup cameras in the mirror, 2014+ moved to head unit.
