Currently chilling at 280lbs probably drop to about 270 then go back up for a show in Jan 2022. Nationals in two weeks. I'm mainly going for fun, haven't prepped hard. Just been having fun with training.

There needs to be a rule in gyms for parking in equipment. Like you can take rest breaks but if you don’t lift within 5 minutes of your last set you should have to move.

salty AF because I couldn’t DL today due to kids parked in the platforms all talking and bullshitting between sets

 

I call them campers. Usually always involves some crap-head with their face in a phone, at least in my experience.

 

I get resting between sets 100%. Especially maximum effort. But there needs to be some sort of courtesy for the others who want to lift as well. It’s always a group of powerlifters.

 

Yesterday was my first day back at work. We have 5 people out who have tested positive.

3 of us have had it already.

3 people of the 8 are vaccinated.

Its crazy. I feel less bad about not being vaccinated when people are getting it and getting sick regardless.

 

Everyday at work it gets brought up that someone vaccinated has it…. But there’s a handful of us not vaccinated that have had it once with no serious symptoms, but have been fine since then. My boss got on a rant about it the other day and then goes “you’re not vaccinated are you?” And I said “no, and have no plans to be. I’m healthier than 95% of the country and have no reason to be worried about it”

 

After having it twice, I'm worried about it. This was a pretty miserable experience both times.

I wish there was something I could do to prevent getting it. Unfortunately the vaccine doesn't ensure that you won't get sick and if it doesn't do that I'm not really comfortable with getting it.

It certainly has been interesting to see how getting it has been a second time since the first time I got it was pre-pandemic. How the testing has gone, and how it's spread throughout work. It's been a very educational to say the least.

I agree with you though. I'm not the demographic to die from it. I'm not worried about a vaccine so I don't die. I'm worried about a vaccine so I'm not stuck a home on my back and 10 days off work with no pay.

 

@St. Swervus You better still be taking me with you in spirit on your runs. I'm dying to get back out there again I'm just trying to wait so I don't kill myself trying to get back out there too soon.

 

The weird part is somehow the cases are still rising in record rates and blah blah blah in today’s world with vaccines and distancing and mask. How does it make sense that it’s rising worse than it was when nobody wore mask or distanced or had vaccines.

I’m just sharing this as I found it an interesting watch. I’m not advising people what to do when it comes to the jab nor am I qualified to do so.

 

Somebody with some power at my job walks up to me after the administration came out and mandated this shit for all employers with more than 100 employees, he says “when are you getting vaccinated?” I say I’m not and then he goes, “well, you’re going to need it to work here”. I let him know that I’ll be expecting termination papers. I should’ve called HR and got his fat ass in trouble. It’s always got to be the unhealthy walrus looking bastards who need coaxed into living saying the stupid stuff.

No offense dude but go to the gym. You aren’t going to get covid through surfaces, only through prolonged contact with people who have it. So don’t start making out with anyone at the gym and you’ll be fine.
