Hello Tacoma world family- got a 2021 Taco SR. Wanting to install factory fog lights. Dealership does not sell the fog light kits for it and tells me I cant do it other than running straight wiring to the battery. Is there a harness already there? Whats the best alternative. Thanks everyone.

Contact @memario1214 and have him set you up with a set of Diode Dynamics.

Not sure if there's a pre-wired harness, but if not I would mount a relay near the battery and energize it by tapping the low beams or parking lights (using proper sized scotchlok). My $.02.

If you want to actually go the OEM route then this thread linked below might help. Some SRs come prewired and some don’t

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/nitoris-oem-sr-foglight-mod.451495/

It may be cheaper to set up fog lights wired to the battery. All you’ll need is the fog lights, wireharness w/ relay and fuse, fog light bezels (I’ll post a part number if I can find it), and a switch.

For switches, you can either keep the original switch that comes on the wireharness, or if you want to make life easier, you can get a switch to replace one of the blank switches on your dash.

Here’s a link to oem style switches

    I have some pictures below

I have the Diode Dynamics SS3 Pro fog lights. I 100% recommend these to everyone

    Thanks for the assist!

@dragz6664 so as these guys said you're better off stepping up in performance if you're going to go from zero and putting your fog lights in!
    • So first thing is your bezels. Do you have the bezels in the corners that have the holes already in them to accept fog lights? If not, you'll need to source the proper bezel there. You can generally find them on here for cheap/free since folks pull their bumpers off to go with a steel bumper all of the time and no longer need them.
    • For wiring take a peek under the truck and see if there is a wire that goes to nowhere in that rough location and/or look in your turn signal stalk for the fog light switch as well.
    • If you don't have the wiring already your easiest path is going to be to tap into the battery for your power. We would just use a standard wiring harness to accomplish the task.
    • Then you would need to put a switch in the cab. Most wiring harnesses come with a switch, but if you want to have one match the blank that you have in the truck I recommend looking at places like OTRATTW, CH4x4, etc.
Let me know if you have any other questions!
