I’ll need to take a pic of it, but it’s 3 M12 threaded rods and 2 metal elbow pipe fittings routed up from the transfer case:rofl: I was over getting it welded so that was my solution haha

haha, well if you pulled this off, you might as well get a welder. I just did myself and while it takes some practice, the job you did is significantly more difficult than learning to do simple welding jobs.

Been following this since the beginning, thanks for posting this. I've considered trading in my prerunner several times but I don't wanna deal with monthly payments again. Definitely something I will be doing in the near future.

Thanks man! Yeah I’d go with what @Ricardo13x says. I got mine from B&R Autowrecking, but have yet to shorten the driveshaft. 1,000 miles so far

So got these parts in the cart from LKQ
Front left and right axles from 2007 fj.
Carrier assy from 2007 Fj. Same Fj as axles.
front drive shaft from a 2014 taco
Rear driveshaft from 2014 taco both different trucks.

Front end should be good to go.
I wonder if need to fck with the front add tube? Like weld the sleeve and other part or do anything since its from a Fj. Maybe someone can chime in please. TIA
I am hoping to buy a trans and case from @airmax233 then from there hubs from here and little bolts and pieces. I understand modifying the cross member is a must and relocating the center bearing mounting as well. Other than that, seems pretty forward!!! LET DO THIS!

Join the crew @Longtech !! Definitely do the ADD delete. I’m always paranoid about it now haha. Planning to do that now, but would’ve been 10x easier with the diff out

heed the warnings of @gearcruncher as well regarding the torque converter!

No fam, from the get go I secured a differential out of a 2009 v8 4Runner. Before I installed the new drivetrain( front diff, transmission , transfer case, rear transmission pressure vent)I extended all the vents to higher than engine height.

I think the ADD is broken:bananadance:

Felt kinda squirrelly on the sand yesterday. Didn’t get stuck, but without the ADD actuated does that mean my prerunner could have made it before the swap? LOL

In b4 the “shoulda deleted the ADD” comments:crapstorm:

Get under the truck and have someone else activate the motor, you should be able to hear if it’s working. Or jackup the back wheels in 4wd and see if it pulls.

Also shower thoughts: since you have to manually activate the ADD now, wouldn’t it just be called the DD?:confused::confused:
