First off thanks for having me! Super excited, purchased a 2019 Cement gray TRD.

I have used this site thru google for some lift information but I am overwhelmed. I want to put somewhere between a 2 and 3 inch lift on my truck. I really like the look of 285/75/r17 or 285/70/r17s. For my lift I don't want spacers as from reading here they suck for offroad. I will drive 80% pavement and when offroad nothing nuts like crawling but alot of washboard roads and some rocky hunting roads.

I have read that the fox suspension is best for pavement / offroad over icon? Id like something that is better than stock offroad but also great on pavement. Im looking to be around $3,000 installed for the lift. What are your guys suggestions? Would a 3 inch be better than 2 1/2? Lastly ofcourse this is mainly for looks with my decription so trying not to go so big I kill the gas mileage under 15mpg hooefully.

I greatly appreciate it as yes new to lifts but also know so many are out of stock right now.

    Kinda going for this look.Screenshot_20211001-205522_Chrome.jpg

First you need to sign the “I won’t cry and moan about how it changes the handling” pledge.

Oh wait that would take the greatest joy out of lifting your truck.

    Welcome to Tacomaworld. :hattip:

I took a slow approach to deciding what I wanted from my truck. I searched all the websites at first and had big plans. Icon stage 10, 33" tires. Big bumpers, lights on every available space. Then after 4 years I finally decided. Basic upgrades are better. Something in a 2.0 shock will be fine for my use. A basic lift, no sky high monster. No need for the big bumpers, atleast not yet really. And just better offset rims with 31" tires. Minor improvements on an already capable platform. I definitely do want to upgrade the lights still, just not have them everywhere. Nice and clean.

Anyways there are plenty of options in the $3000 area and 3" lift. I personally picked up the eibach Pro Truck Stage 2.0 kit with 1 inch spacers for the rear. The other option I considered was Bilstein 5100's. Ultimately, I preferred a full bolt in kit that I can easily install myself and I like the fact that the springs and struts are designed as a set.

Good luck with your search, any specific questions that people can help with, feel free to ask.

Thank you sir. I was just looking at pics online and saw some with the 2.0 and believe 275/70/r17 and they look pretty clean. I believe that 31 inch or 32? I have to figure out offset. Im looking for something that either sticks out about 1 to 2 inches but the tall and skinny look is nice too.

    Thanks for the reply
