Hi everyone, I am selling my 2004 Tacoma SR5, 4WD, MANUAL 5-speed, extended cab with Rear Locker, TRD. 207k miles. You guys may remember my other truck I sold on here, well unfortunately I must sell another truck from my collection and sadly my last Tacoma.


I have tried to itemize and present this truck as perfectly clear and transparent as possible.


I have owned a bunch of 3rd gen 4runners and tacomas of the gen, this truck is really nice and wish I could keep it. I don’t know of many manual 2004’s with the J-shift and TRD so this one is a bit of a unicorn imo!

More detailed information:

This truck was purchased new in Nevada and was sold in 2007 to the second owner who kept it for the past 14 years. The truck has lived a very easy life in my opinion. This is a very nicely optioned and loaded Tacoma and every single thing works. Power windows work, locker, 4x4, AC, cruise everything is functional. I bought this truck from my buddy who owned it since 2007 when it had 50k miles and when he relocated overseas I knew I had to have it. I bought it with the intent to keep it for a long time, but with an upcoming wedding, having 6 vehicles is hard to justify…if only we could keep them all…


The frame has ZERO rust. The Carfax indicates it spent it’s life in Nevada, Virginia, and Florida. I know the previous owner of this truck, and he never drove it in the salt. It was located in Virginia for a period of time where he lived in FL and worked in VA in the summers.


All the panels on this truck are original. All VIN stickers intact. The truck had typical faded clear coat on the roof, hood and tailgate when I purchased it, so I opted to sacrifice the original ugly clear in exchange for fresh paint on the roof and hood and tailgate. The rest of the paint is not perfect, but still shines and has no clear coat failure. Always stored under a carport or garage kept since new.


The truck currently has 207,xxx miles and will not go up until sold. I have too many cars unfortunately and don't drive any of them enough.


The 3.4L 5vz-FE runs perfectly with no noise, ticking, squeaking, leaking, or anything weird. The truck runs and drives perfectly, with no shakes, rattles, shimmies, or noises. Brakes are good for stock Tacoma brakes. Transmission recently serviced with no issues, clutch grabs with no problem, although I believe the clutch may have been swapped for a non-OEM one and it does make a little bit more noise than stock. Not quite as noisy as a lightweight, but something I noticed. Shifts perfectly smooth.


The interior is very clean, no stains, rips, damage of any sort. There is absolutely no funky smells, mildew, smoke smell, or anything odd.


The wheels are extremely clean, very minor wear. Tires are in excellent condition.


Comes with 2 keys.

Some recent maintenance includes:

• OEM LBJs. This was done ~20k miles ago.
• Rear Locker actuator serviced and rebuilt
• Trans, Diff, and Brake fluid refreshed 3k miles ago
• Brand new Radiator <10k miles ago
• New Coolant Hoses
• OEM Toyota timing belt and Water Pump done at 148k
• Clutch, flywheel and throw out bearing done at 148k
• Valve cover gaskets done just last week.
• Spark Plugs and Wires
• Newer Tires have under 10k miles on them.

List of Imperfections:

• Front grill is cracked, was just going to replace with a black painted one.
• A few light scratches and few minor dents typical of a 15 year old daily vehicle
• Minor door scratch on passenger door
• Paint on doors could use a polish, but are not failing. I planned to do a full polish and coating on the truck but haven’t had the time.

Overall, this Tacoma would be an amazing start for a fun build, or a perfect daily driver.. I really wish I could hang onto it.
