    Had a "whining" sound from my 2012 Tacoma, 75000 miles, from the back end, brought it to my local shop guys and they diagnosed it as pinion bearing and associated parts. It's two or three days without the truck, 500 to 1000 out of my wallet. But, hey, a new truck payment is worse anytime.
