I bought my used Tacoma a few months ago, and when I turn off the engine something that sounds like a blower motor keeps running for a few seconds each time.

Any idea what this is? And is it a problem that needs servicing?

    Thanks!

If you hear it from outside the truck, it’s normal.
It’s probably the Secondary Air Injection pump you are hearing.

If you hear a different sound from the rear of the truck about 5 hours later, that’s normal too.It the EVAP for emissions.

^Second what he said. If there's a whirring sound as you turn the ignition off its more than likely the secondary air pump.

Yes, that’s it! Secondary air pump. I won’t worry about it! Thank you very much!
