    Hello -

Forgive me for being ignorant in all this but I’m trying to learn. At the moment, my goal is to just “level” my 2018 Tacoma SR5 2WD. I have zero plans to off-road, pure pavement pounding.

I’m leaning towards getting 5100s to level instead of strut spacers. My question is, would the below be a good place to start?

    Front 5100s set at: .65”
Rear: stock coils, no lift block or AALs

Or, is .65” too conservative and still leave my front lower than the rear? .65” doesn’t seem enough to level it out since the rear is 2” higher when I measured.

However, I’m worried if I bumped it to 1.1” it’ll ruin my ride quality.

I did do a search on topic but most were regarding the old version of 5100s which had diff settings.

Expect the lowest setting to net you about 1 inch over stock. Measure fender to ground on front and back now and see what it comes out to by comparing the measurements front to back. If the rake is ~1 inch, 5100s on the first setting should make it nearly level. Go any higher and you risk the bro lean

Just get a half inch strut spacer and lift it 1" front and call it a day. Doesn't affect ride quality and you don't gotta buy anything but that spacer. Stock shocks and you're good to go. Also, it's easier to install the spacer instead of decompressing the shock assembly to put the new 5100s on.

If you plan on preloading the stock coil on the 5100s and don't plan on doing any offroading, may as well just get a simple spacer.

    my two cents...

I have mine set at the 1.1” setting with stock coils and I love it, 100x better than the stock sport shocks. I couldn’t stand how bouncy those things were.

Can confirm. I just installed these on my buddies 4R and it netted just north of an inch. He is super pleased with the upgraded ride quality. Do it!

Did not ruin ride quality. Slightly firmer in a good way. In no way is it harsh. It handles much better.
