    Oh look, another mod....
    Here's my MPG story:

When I first bought it, I was used to driving a mid-sized sedan. So I drove it that way for the first two weeks, and I averaged 13MPG. My first thought was "Shit, I'm going to have to sell this truck, I can't afford to gas it up alllllllll the time".

Please note: I do not have a lift on my truck and I'm running the stock tires. No 33/35's here! I know those can affect MPG's & handling. Also, 95% of my driving is highway miles. I do very little stop-n-go city driving.

But that changed. Very fast. I started accelerating slower and never driving faster than the speed limit. When I did, my MPG's started averaging 21MPG. I have noticed there are three main things (for me, anyway) that affect the MPG's:

    1) 65 - 70MPH is the sweet spot for this truck. Anything faster than that, and my MPG's go down.
    2) City driving! When I'm commuting to work, my MPG's shoot up and stay up (and sometimes greater than) 20MPG. When I drive it around town on the weekend to run errands, it lowers the overall MPG's. Example: I just drove to pick up my dry cleaning, then stopped by Kroger to get groceries. I went about...5 miles round trip. When I parked the truck, it said "Average Miles Per Gallon 12.3"
    3) Fast acceleration. I don't stomp on the accelerator peddle anymore. I drive it like a truck. I don't expect to beat the car next to me. I do have a Sprint Booster on my truck, so it helped with the lag that Tacoma's are known for. Believe it or not, it did not affect my MPG's at all.

My current tank average is 19.5MPG. My display shows it to be a bit higher though. Here's how I came to get the real number: My trip odometer says I have driven 200 miles. My tank says "177 miles to empty". That's 377miles total. There was "16 miles until empty" when I filled it up, that brings the total to 361 miles total. When I filled up, I put in 18.5 gallons of 87 Octane.

    So: 361 divided by 18.5 = 19.5 MPG.

I'm still driving it, so that average will go up. It all varies on how I drive. Oh, my best ever tank average was: 23MPG. It was all highway miles and I set the cruise at 68MPH. The tank was bone dry, and I put in 21 gallons of gas (I know, I shouldn't top it off, it's baaaaaaaaad for it!). I got almost 482 miles out of that tank though.

This truck/engine will give you good MPG's if you let it. But drive your truck however you want.

Lol... this is why mileage threads are pointless. That is not how you calculate mpg... at all

A few points I have observed in 10,000 km...
Mine as well runs like crap on 87, it is a totally different truck on Supreme gas
    I average 11 ish L/100 km
Cold tire pressure is 32 in summer, generally rises to 35-37 after 10 mins driving, will bump it up a bit as temps cool off
