I personally did not get the extra coverage. The cost to replace the touch screen IF it goes out is about the same as what the extended warranty price offered to me by the dealer. The infotainment screen is the one piece of tech that if it goes out, its expensive, but that's only if it does. Looking around on this forum, it didn't seem to be an issue so I skipped it. Besides, its a PITA to get that extended warranty difference paid back when you trade the vehicle in, they drag their feet if they gotta cut you a check for the prorated amount.

If you know how to play the warranty game, definitely worth it. The warranty I bought with my BMW has more than paid for itself. Every time you take it in, gather a big list of every little thing you can find wrong. Give that to the dealer and tell em to fix it.

    Check build thread!
If I was buying something like a BMW, I would 1000% get a warrantee. But, it's a Toyota. No need.

My warranty runs out on Halloween day this year.

If something goes wrong, I'll pay them to fix it.

Only time I even open the hood is to check the oil and add windshield washer fluid. I've never seen such a cluster fuck of shit under there. I doubt I'll even change the plugs myself. Sure as hell aint nothing like the good old 2000 4.0 TJ I had. It honestly took me longer to get the extensions together to take the starter out then it did to take the damn thing out.

Factory warranty expires the 19th of this month. My '19 Tacoma won't have 8500 miles on it. Guess I'm going to go without the extended warranty. Something breaks down I'll tell them to fix it then borrow the money from the bank to cover the bill. Living on a military disability I don't have much of a choice. If I had $450 though I would pop on the 5yr./60,000 mile warranty plan. Would take the worry off my mind for sure.

I got an extended warranty for the first time when I bought my 2016 TRD OR. The reason was that it was the first model year and lots of new electronics. I have not used it yet but recently discovered I have the dreaded oil leak from the timing chain cover. From what I understand it will more than pay for itself when I take it in for repair.

Not sure that most of you know that when you buy extended warranty they start from day one of the truck purchase.
Meaning the first 3 years the truck is under warranty so you deduct that from your plan and you actually lose 3 years off that warranty that you paid for. Just saying.

I am normally not a big fan of extended warranties but I did get one on mine. I did get them down a little off the cost but probably still paid too much for my 7 year/100,000 platinum warranty. Still after seeing some of the timing cover seal failures on here and some under 5 years or 100,000 miles I feel Okay with the warranty cost. if they have to cover that repair it will be well worth it.

GAP insurance is another thing, You probably should not ever need to buy it. My reasoning for saying that is you should put a decent amount of money down in the first place so you don't need it. If you can't maybe you can't really afford the vehicle. I know that is a conservative opinion and maybe harsh thing to say these days but I feel that's best. also if you absolutely have to buy it from a credit union where you finance not the dealership.

Yep, I know that which is yet another reason why I didn't even consider purchasing an extended warranty at the time when I bought my Taco. That and the fact that my finance guy was a jerk and wasn't happy that I was saying no to everything he offered from a cup of Coffee, to financing, extended warranty and some stupid aftermarket alarm thing he seemed pretty proud of.

The 8/75 for $735 is looking very appealing to me as I do not put a lot of miles on my Taco. If anyone contacts Jennifer Taylor / Wolverine Toyota and gets updated prices, please post them. Thanks!
