As a younger person, this logic pisses me off so much. Just because someone has years of experience doing something, it doesn't guarantee they're any good at it or can adapt to changes easily.

Does this surging happen only when in park and only when it's hot ( ie ..been running for a long period of time)?

Mine didn't have quite a much of a jumpy idle, but it was a rough idle as well as a really pronounced steering wheel vibe throughout RPM ranges. Fed up, I finally decided to disconnect my negative battery cable for a few minutes before a long trip last week. Drove over 1,000mi throughout all kinds of terrain and speeds and the rough idle has not (yet) returned and the steering only has that faint vibe (that's still mildly annoying) but manageable.

I would not have a truck I hate. Not for one day. My 16 Taco is great. June 8th will be one year of trouble free driving. Love it!

Don’t get him started again. This is from over 4 years ago

Ah hell, screw it. I’m back in to see if his wife put his truck through the garage door
