Yea the original panels are bullshit compared to these. I drilled holes in mine and still only use one because of the balloon effect.

 

Make sure you take off the corner panels - I didn't notice them at first and struggled then realized that there are panels there that make it WAY easier.

 

Just went on their site and this pops up instantly.

 

I had my 7-year-old reach in and applauded him for motivation. I told him that only he can do it and daddy cannot. Worked out great

Cleaned up the wiring with these wire channels. Looks so clean.

I’m wrapping up my wiring project in the rear. Have about 16-18 wires running the X1. In one channel I have 4, 6 gauge and it’s really hard when going from low to high channel at the angles. Just takes a lot of persistance. The coat hanger or welding wire is a good idea but sometimes it’s just hard to pull wire through cus it catches on the corner and with the weigh they all accumulate on the corner.

As @gnardoggie said, it’s best to remove the panels and fish it that way if you haven’t. I’ve used welding wire, pliers , a hex key all kinds stuff to manipulate grab and guide the wires through.

Truck is in the backyard for the last of the prep. Started ordering all my Dual Battery and wiring components. Gutted the truck and starting over. Fresh, well thought out power throughout. Running the Off-Grid Engineering split kit and a custom put together bed power system with a split off into the X1. Everything in the bed/camper will be on one master on/off switch. All lighting will still be controlled through the Switch pro. All accessories and bed power will be wired to an under the hood Blue Sea block and a bed Blue Sea block. Separate fuses and systems. Etc. Just need to finalize my Cart with Powertrays.

Started messing with my water setup tonight. 13 gallons with a 12v 3gpm pump. Loving how it's all fitting and working together so far. The X1 channels are going to work out great for all this.

That’s where the fish tape reigns supreme. Feed it through without wire, thread or tape the wire through the end of the fish tape and yank back out.

 

What are the details on that water tank?

Here’s my update… 200w panel on top. All connected to my yeti 1000 goal zero. Instead of building everything out this just made more sense for me. Allows me to pull and disconnect very easily out of the camper and it was on sale for like $800. Wires run through the underside of the overhang. Added curtains for the kids since my wife doesn’t like all three rascals using public restrooms on short trips. The controller for the switch sits on top of the goal zero.

What panel do you have up top? A single 200W that sounds nice

 

It’s 2 - 100 watt panel … I had two old ones lying around. It’s all i need for this setup. On my travel trailer i have 560 watt connected to 170ah battery.

Auxbeam panel is sitting on top of the goal zero under the lid. I have the photo posted.

Do you find the Decked drawers leave enough clearance inside the bed area? I was originally going to go that route but got worried it wouldn't leave much headspace. I'm leaning towards aluminum extrusion build out on one side now.
