You will no longer "need" to use the ECT Power button every time you drive it. I had to stomp it from low gear today to get around a vehicle situation and I got a second gear chirp!

AVS will send you replacement adhesive. When I installed mine (in 28F weather) I emailed them about my idiot move and that I thought the adhesive would give. The send 4 rolls of 3M, but I kept my windows up for like 2 months. the visors are still going strong.

Finally got around to making some covers for my license plate lights. I couldn't justify buying the wiring harness and figured this would be a much easier/cost effective approach.

I made a quick template, imported it into my laser cutter program, and cut these out of thin ABS.
    20211004_162853.jpg

Quick test fit, not perfect but for now it'll work.

    20211004_162912.jpg

    Added some adhesive.

    20211004_164934.jpg

Below you can see the glare from the lights without the cover and with. The covers completely block the light from the view of the camera without blocking the light from illuminating the plate.

I got my sumo struts put in. Whole thing took about thirty mins.
    Real straightforward.
Jack up and secure the truck. Remove old bump stop with oil wrench. Apply lock tight and install new.

Makes bumps more muted on and offroad. Not sure if I am going to get the rears.
Real easy install, a little pricy imho, but im satisfied overall.

I'll have to check with the admin on how selling items like this works. But I don't imagine it would be very much, I'll have to figure out the materials, time, postage, probably like $6 to $8.

    If it’s under $10 shipped, I’d try a pair.

Called my local Toyota dealer to ask if there was a recall on the third break light for my ‘18 Tacoma. I’d read about it on this thread. After some hemming and stalling they checked and indeed there was. Seems like they should have notified me. I scheduled an appointment. Thanks to whomever posted it.
