Did you notice how Toyota uses a locktite on the oil pan bolts? Use locktite and torque those bolts to specification. You wont have to worry about a too flat oil pan, bolts backing out or any future oil leaks.

Actually, I would too but if I had to do something with it tonight and didn't have another pan, I'd improvise.

Keep adding oil until it registers on the dipstick. I would guess that the aftermarket pan is a bit deeper.

Yeah the new pan I got does say 6quart so I think it is slightly bigger. Ended up taking 6.5 quarts to reach full line

WD-40 will soften up RTV somewhat, but there are gels sold specifically to dissolve it.

Right on - I’ve done my fair share of gasket replacement and I usually alternate between scotchbrite soaked in WD40 and / or acetone and dry scotchbrite on top of a wire wheel on a dremel and I’ve never had too much trouble. A solvent that dissolved it would be great.

I used one before that worked well, but it’s been a while. Can’t remember if this was it but it’s an example at least:

I crushed my oil pan with a floor jack and it looks exactly like yours. I never replaced it. Been like that for about 7 years
