Fuel pump recall

Has anyone who has had the fuel pump recall done experienced issues?

I took my perfectly good running truck in to get the recall done and now I have a massive headache on my hands. Service advisor told me they’re having more issues with the new pumps than the originals. I took the truck back last week and got the recall done again as they diagnosed it as the pump and I am still experiencing the same issues.

Truck will not start after fueling. Clears up after sitting for a few minutes and then will start. I’m thinking it’s flooded. Does anyone know if a purge valve or bad canister will throw codes because the codes it is throwing are not related to those. I often do not fill the tank and when I do I stop when it clicks. Could anything done during the fuel pump install have possible led to raw fuel getting into the canister ?

 

What codes is it throwing? My gut said purge valve. But it should have thrown a code. My guess is it's throwing lean / rich codes?

 

Correct , I don’t have the exact list but it’s the same codes it was throwing before changing the pump again. I don’t want to give up on the truck yet but it seems like the dealer can’t figure this out either. It goes back Tuesday for the 2nd time in 2 weeks

 

Fuckery is afoot! I guarantee it's something "simple" they're overlooking. Someone probably tucked the Purge plug up somewhere and forgot about it lol.

 

Taking mine after two months for continued fuel smell. Service writer says it should have thrown a code. Dunno about that, just tired of the smell.

 

Some other people had this issue. One said they didn't completely connect all the proper connectors or something.

 

It was the purge valve !!!!!
