I was 19 the first and last time I had a roommate. We were friends for years before so it wasn't a bad experience at all.

 

Least the both of you will give each other someone to look up to

 

Sorry to hear that. My sister raised my nephew/her son alone too, father has been 90% out of the picture (honestly though its better for the kid that way, his dad is a real piece of work).

Luckily in my sister's case, the dad's parents are super involved and help make up for it in a way. But he still has been growing up without a dad in the picture for 10 years.

She's getting married though next year and he's going to be adopted by her husband so that's good

 

my brothers the one that doesn’t work. He’ll probably be helping her a lot along with her mother

 

Shit that's good.

It's taxing on everyone else helping, but it's also very rewarding in the long run. My siblings grew up with only my mom, so yeah.

 

Conversely, my first roommate situation was with my best friend and we ended up not talking for almost 6 years after we went separate ways haha. It really put a strain on the friendship.

We were both a couple of self-destructive shitheads at the time though so that didn't exactly help matters

 

Correction, he works from home now.

 

Yeah I knew what I was getting into with roommates again but couldn’t give up a garage. If the kid bails his parents are responsible for the lease. Still stressful though.

Should’ve bought a house last year when my buddy did. Less than renting an apartment with covered parking. Now I can’t afford a house with a garage.

There are more Toyota Tacoma's here than any other city I've lived in or visited.

Thing is, every single 3rd Gen Taco and almost every other 5th Gen 4R has raptor lights and/or nerf bars...or both.
