What shop did you go too? Although mine is a 2015 the stock tpms sensors on the steel wheels do not fit the TRD Sema wheels, they have to be 20*, also the lug nuts from the steel wheels will fit just that they won't sit properly like the mags do.

Kept the black TSS wheels. Upgraded from the P265/65/R17 BFG Rugged Terrain.. to some BFG KO2 LT285/70/17.

I bought my tires at Tire Kingdom (NTB) and had them swap over the sensors and install the tires on the TRD Sema wheels. They didn't mention having any trouble and I didn't buy new sensors.

Took mine to another tire kingdom, they had to show me the Tpms from the steelies didn't fit/sit on the TRD sema wheel.

Uhmmm I thought the SR5 come with alloy wheels. At least my purchase order for my "future" 2017 sr5 said so, as standard. If so, will the lug nuts and tpms sensors work on the trd pro wheels if I swap?

I am planning to replace the wheels and tires with trd pro 17" wheels and KO2 265/70/17 tires on stock suspension, then sell the factory wheels/tires.

My SR5 is the Texas Edition and came with the black wheel package (TSS wheels). They should move over your tpms to the new wheels. @sqa4life

I'm not sure about other rims but if you have an SR5 with steelies the Tpms will not transfer to the TRD Sema wheels. TRD Sema wheels require a 20 degree sensor, now I'm not sure if the 2016 steelies have those but my 2015 did not.

Steel wheel sensors do not fit alloy wheels. The angles are different. Some shops will rotate the sensors to make them fit but, they can be damaged if tire goes flat or when tires are replaced in the future and tire tech is unaware tpms have been rotated. I had to buy new sensors when I replaced my SR5 steelies with alloys.

Hey Leo, what size were the spacers? I plan on putting together my own Texas/TSS edition for my SR but I also like the stance of the truck much better with spacers.

I would get bigger tires but I have the 2.7 so I am afraid anything larger than the P265/65/R17 Rugged Terrain would bog it down.

I've got 1.25 spidertrax wheel spacers and 2inch rough country level spacers. Those tires are nice and beefy enough. @ACREYMAN

I didn't re gear. A little power loss not so much sluggish, fix that with a little more foot on the gas. I do all hwy driving so at slight inclines have to punch it a little more, other than that it still drives good. I do rub on front some speed bumps not all, when coming off a drive way that's steep and sometimes in reverse not often. I just need a bigger lift. Gonna go with a 3in kit or 4 in spindle lift. Currently have just a 2in front spacer, stock rear/no rub.

How have your shift points chcanged from 265 to 285? I agree about giving it more gas, easy solution, but wondering if it shifts earlier or later now with 285s.

Thinking about a spindle lift too. I've seen 3.5" lift spindle from CST. Think 4" might be much for 285s, but haven't seen anyone yet on a 2016 with 4" spindle. So can't really gauge.

Imo there has always been a delay in shift points since I got the truck. I haven't noticed a big difference after getting the larger tires. I think my truck just needs the TSB done and it'll be much better.

I haven't seen any 3rd gens with the 4" spindle lift either so I'm kind of hesitant on going that route. Ill have to check out that brand, haven't heard too much on them. Funny though, I work for a company CST Brands, Inc. totally different business though haha. Went into 4wheelparts one day and they saw my company logo on my shirt and thought I was a rep from there not knowing lol
Let me know if you spot a yota with a spindle lift

VLocos, what is your set-up on the second picture. That's exactly the look I am going for.
