I have had my 2006 Double Cab Short bed 4x4 sport for a few years now....absolutely love it (my first 2nd gen)....frame replaced in 2018, with 200K that you could eat off of!...except for one thing...it is an automatic...and I have longed for another manual...been looking and finally found one and bought this week...it is a 2007 extended cab with the 4 cylinder and 5 speed...other than the extended cab versus 4 door the trucks are nearly identical....and this one had new frame in 2019!!
Will be missing the 4 door...will miss the short bed...and will miss the 6 cylinder...but I finally have my manual transmission...
Now getting ready to start swapping everything I have added to my truck over the years to the new one..radio, seats, deaver leaf springs, shocks, etc....
Also I love my sport hood on my 2006 and am thinking of moving it to the new truck (they are same color!!)...
Does anyone know of any problems doing that??
only other thing I plan on doing is trying to get the shifter to a shorter throw....

I feel your enthusiasm. I miss my manual. I had a 2010 rubicon jeep with a six speed and loved driving it. Fast foward and needs are changed and needed a truck .found a great truck with what im driving now but damn do i miss the stick. Only way I would upgrade is to get a army green manual trd pro . But 50-60k no thanks

A little of this and a little of that.
@ToyotaBanjo Shouldn’t be a problem with the parts swapping from truck to truck. Glad that you’re back to a three pedal truck!
