What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Anyone here painted their chrome exhaust tip? If so, how did you prep and what products did you use? How has it held up? Thanks.

Listen people, I need your help here.

My Tacoma is now just how I wanted it to end up after I bought it. All the mods I wanted have been done, etc. and my marriage is still a healthy/happy one.

So please STOP POSTING in this thread because I cannot be expected to exercise self control and not look at your posts and I can't be given more ideas for things that I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT NEED, but want to do to my truck. STOP IT!

 

Finally got the topper painted from cement to matte black

 

Got my console safe installed

 

Did you scratch up the bottom of your console cover installing it? Mine was a super tight fit.

 

Just a touch until I figured out that as I closed the console door it slid into place. Did you have any issues with the console door not wanting to latch? I’m just a tad tight and can’t quite get it to go. Don’t like the looks of it slightly ajar. I’m wondering about taking the latch off and putting a wash behind it to move it down just a touch

Got 2 trophies
Check engine and a trac off light

Check engine was a mass airflow
Had it on for about 1500 miles noticed substantial gas usage

 

Same. I like the idea of it but then I thought the safe costs more than anything I'd leave in there

This is one of those times when I can say that "it will buff right out" and will be right.

 

While waiting for the V5 turn signals to come out I ordered and received these carbon fiber mirror skins. I ordered some unpainted black mirror covers to stick these on to so I can install at the same time as the V5’s. These are the matte finish.
