Tailgate rubs on Bumper

    ADD Bumpers Baja Designs light bar/fogs Tint
    Hey guys!
    New owner and i bought it with aftermarket bumpers and when the tailgate is down it rests on the bumper and its scratched up, can i raise the tailgate at all or make any adjustments there? Dont really know how to go about adjusting the bumper…

    total NEWB!!

    Any help is greatly appreciated!!

    Not that I am aware of. The only option would be to put a Jack under the rear bumper to suppot and loosen the bolts lower jack a little and see if there is any play or adjustments you can make that way.

    Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
    If you raise the tailgate you'll likely screw up the latches on either side. I don't know if there's any vertical adjustment on the latches.
    It would make more sense to lower the bumper.

    Bed cover, soon bug deflector, halo interior lights and backup
    I would contact the “aftermarket” supplier and ask. It wouldn’t make sense that you alone had this issue, unless your their first customer. Did you put the bumper on or did a local shop install. That issue should have been caught there. Good luck

    Post pictures of the tailgate up and down showing the contact areas, maybe some adhesive foam strips on the bumper would give temporary relief?
