I have the Max Modular Taco Max 18" (KB Voodoo) bed rack installed and I'm pretty determined to mount 2 Jerry Cans to each side panel. I ordered 1 SmittyBilt Jerry Gas Can Holder just to take some measurements and see where I stand. There are 2 rows of 2 holes in the back of the jerry can holder. Horizontal spacing of holes is 6.5" which lines up perfectly with the factory holes in my side panel. Vertical spacing of holes in jerry can holder is 4 7/8" which does not line up with the vertical spacing of holes in the side panel of 2.5". Easiest and cheapest solution would be to drill anther row of holes in the jerry can holder at 2.5" vertical spacing to match the vertical spacing of the holes in the side panel. Concern would be that there will that the jerry can holder will be holding ~40 pounds and the 2.5" may not be far enough apart from a structural perspective. Side panel is not tall enough to drill holes in the side panel to match 4 7/8" vertical spacing on jerry can holder. Expensive, and probably safer solution, would be to buy additional side panels and drill additional holes in the bottom side panel to match the bottom holes on the jerry can holder.

I wanted to see if any of you guys have some insight here, or maybe if any of you have done something similar. Links below so you can see what I'm talking about in terms of equipment.

I made a "fork" that slides into those mounting rails on the can holder then bolts to the track mounts in the bed. I know not what your looking for when mounting to your rack, but with the weight and the forces from hitting bumps I just didnt trust the metal to hold the can on any kind of rack.

Thanks. Yeah unfortunately my situation is that my entire bed will be full of camping gear that needs to stay dry under the tonneau cover. Need some solution for mounting fuel and water to my rack. Trying to avoid going the RotoPax route because I think I'll cry spending ~$700 to mount 20 gallons of plastic containers to my rack. Would spend about 1/3 that much if I figure out a jerry can solution.
