I believe most scanners capable of reading ABS codes can bleed the master cylinder too. They are under $100.

Here's a wierd one. I have the same issue as the OP. Soft on first press and a mechanic friend and myself just did the wheel bearings. Didn't have the issue before. This guy has done many of them and never had this issue and everyhing went according to plan as far as I could tell. Took care of the groan noise at speed but now this f*%&en brake issue? Maybe one didn't seat correctly? I dont feel any vibrations. Smooth now. I bled the front brakes same thing. Heres the other thing I noticed. I have the 2011 Off road so it has the E booster. If I'm just sitting still every other time I hit the pedal I hear the clicking of the booster for a couple seconds? I'd like to know if that is normal. Anyone with the 2009 to 2015 Off road care to do that and see if your does that? Just sitting still with it powered up running or not just keep hitting the brake pedal and see if you hear the booster every other time? Thanks
