My 2011 has plain old chrome plated nuts (21 MM) on factory steel wheels. Are you running alloy wheels?

Did you recently get a COVID vaccination? Niki Minaj knows about somebody in Trinidad whose nuts swelled up. :duh::bananadead::bananadead:

Interesting. Does yours have the small plastic hub covers? For reason unknown I have another box of Tacoma wheel nuts and they too are chrome plated.

No, I never did change them.

In the link I posted above, there used to be a link to the correct ones for the aluminum wheels.
The Aluminum wheels and Steel wheels use different lugs.

Best thing about using a 13/16" spark plug socket on lug nuts is that it's a 6-point socket. However it is just slightly smaller than the correct 21mm lug nut size, so it can be a snug fit on used lug nuts. 13/16" = 0.8125 inches, and 21mm = 0.83 inches. I bought a 21mm socket at Harbor Freight a few years back and it works great. Just be sure to get a 6-point socket. Better fit and won't damage your nuts like a 12-point socket might.

have a hard time removing my lug nuts, some of them appear to be swollen. I bought a set from ebay but had to return it, wont fit. Mine is 21mm (2nd gen). Can someone recommend a good brand? thanks.

I just go to NAPA and buy a few to replace the bad ones when I rotate tires.
