Hello all, My son watches this young man called Chris Fix on YouTube. He is a pretty assume young man who I must say is all go-getter. Anyway, he has inspired my son to take on more and more self-do projects of late. One of these projects is the use of Seafoam in all our cars and my Tacoma.

After reading on how to properly use it and a few videos, I ran up one where a guy pulls the vacuum hose off of his Taco's brake buster and uses it to suck the seafoam straight into his engine.

It did the who smoke thing etc. and I would guess helped the overall condition of his engine. The question is where is the vacuum hose going? He used the fuel additive and committed that he always changes the oil soon after. So is the seafoam going into his oil from that vacuum line or the fuel intake valves etc.

If it is going into the fuel system would it be a good location to use the spray seafoam cleaner lub in this location? Really would appreciate the info.

    Many thanks,

Just watched the same video a couple of days ago. Did you do this? Have good/bad results?

Every indication is positive as to what it is supposed to do. And those who have the equipment to confirm it have and say that it does work well. My mechanic brought up a scary scenario though that I should share. He tells me that he likes Seafoam but that you need to introduce it in small amounts little at a time. He reasons that it is so effective that you could unintentionally dry a piston sleeve of oil and cause a piston to lock in its cylinder possibly bending its connecting rod. :annoyed:. The other thing he offered is that there is quite a bit of flow by ending up in the oil pan so an oil change is needed soon after the application. I can attest to this as I could see it in my oil after I performed the process.
