Rear power sliding window trim part needed.

Need to replace the bottom part below the sliding glass, looks like is plastic and scratched it bad. How to remove it? Hope I can find that part only.
After calling a bunch or taco part sellers it seams the part can not be sold separately. Is this trim on PRO tacos only? Have not seen it on other trucks before.
If anybody can locate a junked taco and the part is in mint condition, can you get it for me please?

Yes, yes.

 

It’s not a pro only feature. I have it in my off-road. It’s part of the premium and tech package I believe. Good luck with search there has been a few wrecked trucks. @Citadel put a sliding glass window in his 2016 he may be able to point you in the right direction.

 

Why not wrap it or re paint it? Should be an easy fix.

 

yeah, like he said, just go to a vinyl shop and ask if they have a piece of scrap black vinyl you can have and put it on there

 

depending on the scratch it might show through the vinyl

 

All 2018 have this now (one of the reasons I went 18 over 17).
Look at FleaBay and find a wrecked Taco that has it. Most of the parts sellers show pictures of the whole vehicle, so you can spot it. Just message and ask.

Ya...I checked and for that part I need to get the whole window.
I wonder who is the window supplier they should have the part.

 

Dacon, what did you wind up doing about this? I have scratched the mess out of my top piece.

 

Nothing yet. Hard to find a taco to take the piece off. Much chances are now with the winter and people having accidents.

 

My lowly Sr5 has a power sliding rear window....

 

sorry to revive the thread but I ran into the same problem. How did you end up fixing that scratch?

 

OP is gone so hopefully someone else can offer suggestions. Otherwise part pullers or fleabay and the like are worth searching.

 

Or visit his nearest windshield replacing company like speedy glass etc.

The problem (as explained by OP) is that it is listed as an assembly (singular piece) and EXPENSIVE!
You’re attempting to get just a piece from that.
