    Hi All,

I'm still searching for sliders with a few of the standard crop in mind. Cali Raised, 4x innovation, SOS, Wescott, RCI....maybe RRW...but hesitant on that last one. I have a question for anyone that has any set, maybe you could chime in with your experience.

It seems that a lot of bolt on sliders I see seem to come close to the pinch welds, has anyone experienced that the siders move too much on impact that they crush the welds or would you have to drop like a full foot or more to experience something like that?

I can’t help answer any questions, but I can tell you that running4tacos sells the RRW sliders branded with R4T, if you’ve not seen it-https://www.runnin4tacos.com/collec...cts/r4t-rock-sliders-3rd-gen-tacoma-2016-2021

I ordered from RRW during a group buy back in Aug and am expecting to have them delivered next week, so I can’t even help you with an opinion of how they are.

I got sliders that support (bolt to) the bottom and the side of the frame. Less movement when you hit something. I also got the DOM tube option. Unfortunately MobTown is defunct, so no help with your options.

Dis you have bad luck with them? I know they did have some problems in the past but have gotten better with customer service and upgraded the sliders over the past year or so.

I have had RRW sliders for almost a year. They fit well, but their powder coat is garbage.

No, but there's way too many companies making them that don't have to get better or upgrade anything.

I recently got slee sliders. They are beefy, Dom, great power coat finish. I seem to be in a league of their own really. They dont even look like other brands that seem to be putting out the same product with a different name on it.

Can’t say I’m all that happy with the RCI sliders with the top plate. Powder coat is rusting and I haven’t really even been driving that much.

Hard top camper...many more to add+
Please never use Rhino on sliders…it does offer a great protection…but
The down side…very porous…dirt and mud will act like a stain…turns brownish and very hard to keep clean…
Having a a pressure washer might solve this problem of dirt and mud

I will need to repaint mines more often …I live on a dirt road…and it rains often where I live…
    Aloha

    +1 for BAMF sliders.

Take a look at this video here, start at the 7 minute mark to get a somewhat good idea about the clearance around the pinch weld.

+1 for 4xInnovations. Adam’s work is fantastic, and support-wise really responsive and helpful

I had one my older trucks rhino... actually monstalined (the whole truck / desert tan). Without asking me they spayed my black powder coated sliders. They were rough, they chipped, they always looked like crap. Was not happy.

Did you get the bolt ons? I do think I like the look of the 4x a lot and I like that they are angles but the plays are flat. Any pictures?

My RRW sliders have been great. They get abused and have taken full weight slides and some hard hits. They have never been close to the pinch welds or body in any of the situations I’ve been in.

To clarify my comment, I have a bumper, swing out, and other stuff from them. Have yet to pull the trigger on their sliders (next paycheck hah!), but all the metal work and fitment is impressive, I have no doubt their sliders are as good.

bunch of pics on the site:

    https://www.4xinnovations.com/2016-2021-Tacoma-Bolt-On-Sliders--ACLB-or-DCSB_p_166.html

they also have a weld-on kit, and a weld-it-yourself bolt on kit to save money

Yeah, I'm too late for the Mobtown stuff...which is unfortunate, because every picture I've seen of these I've liked. Would have been what I went with.

I came down hard enough on my RCI sliders to dent the slider’s box tubing (the tube closes the frame) and they did not touch the pinch weld. I have the bolt-on version and have not drilled the frame for the additional “hard usage” bolts.
