    You mtb guys, just got back from a ride and noticed the bike has 3 broken spokes on the rear. Bike has i think 5 rides and i`m not really pushing it. Is that normal? I`ve never broken a spoke on a bike in my life, including the cheap bikes i absolutely beat the bag out of.

    They were probably loose. I'd bring the bike to Milford Bike. They are great at truing up wheels.

    ^^^ spokes go. I used to go through a ton with BMX but on my mountain bikes not nearly as many. But it still happens.

    There are a few things I just hire out without question. Vehicle body work - fuck that. And bicycle wheel truing. Also F that. Its usually like 15 bucks a wheel. So worth the cost in my opinion.

    Oh and welding. I can weld but I am not good at it and don't have the tools.

    Could be this, not out of the question when the bike is new either actually. I agree that it's best and easier to let a shop do it, one thing I never messed with is truing/replacing spokes

    @crashngiggles
    Jared, Thank you for the hospitality! I'd probably have sat on these Hammer Hangers until next spring without the offer to put them on with me. Appreciate the help.

    @Taco01863 @Brownmatthall
    John, Matt, thank you both for the help as well. I'm impressed with everything that the four of us got done today. Killer effort and no speed bumps. If only every mod day went so smoothly...

    Guess what's going on with me right now?

    I'm only 120 miles into my trip and I blew a trailer tire!

    Well - guessing you didn't get stopped for speeding!! :rofl:

    You have the stuff to hot swap yourself or your have to wait for roadside?

    Now I realize that's a bit of a dumb question. If you could you would be doing that and driving. Not sitting on the side of the road on fart book.

    Nope no spare tires onboard!

    @Pugga I don't think a Chevy would last to this kind of mileage!

    Finally, a truck driver who knows how to put out his triangles :thumbsup: I can’t tell you how many times I see guys put them out in reverse, more often than not. Hope you’re up and running quick. Safe travels.

    Thanks buddy! I picked up the tire carcass from the road too!

    I just got a call from the road service. A very pleasant sounding woman called me and said that it will be another hour before they can get here. :eek: :facepalm:I've been here since about 9:00! :bananadead::bananadead::bananadead:

    Yeah! She's on a lot of British panel shows. She's funny.

    That's my weird thing. I love watching British television shows. :notsure:

    Cool! Glad you're back on the rip.
