Never been one to like salt and all that on drinks.

Then you've got those spicy, clamato-based alcoholic drinks

 

Back when the gov't shut down, my supervisor was like "fuck it, we're going for bloody marys".

I choked one down because, you know, boss... but damn.

 

They aren't that bad but only 3 or so ABV so pretty weak.

 

Just the sheer thought of thick tomato juice, as a drink

 

I grew up on it so it's normal for me. Campechana is basically seafood in a bath of clamato.

 

Growing up, we called that "soup"

 

I had a Michelada last week for the 1st time. I was surprised it was pretty good.

 

So T-minus 2 weeks.

What are y'all thinkin? I don't know what the smoke is like down there, but it's not been nearly as bad where I am lately. There are some closures in SNF, but so far it doesn't look like any of the roads/trails we were looking at. I'm still looking tho.

 

I believe @Kwikvette and @eon_blue called it last week... I know the wife and I have been daily checking the air quality maps and it's been way too smokey for us to make the trip with our sensitivities. We've been looking forward to the trip but we've had to back out because of that as well as personal vehicle issues We've run into


Oh yea.. @Kwikvette, the wife and I wrecked her car driving over a Boulder in the middle of the road that was unavoidable any chance we had had of affording a separate trip down there has been soaked into that expense. I send you pictures later

The fires and stuff having been shut down for awhile pushed things back as far as planning goes.
