Okay so i have a switch question.
I have a set of rigid sr-m lights for my rear bumper.
Have them installed using the switch that came with the rigid relay harness.
I wanted to get a CH4x4 switch to wire them to.
My question is does anyone know which wire goes to which for the switch install.

My other question is seeing how i have no blank spots in my 2010 offroad where do i put one of the factory switches if i was to remove it to install the rear lights switch from ch4x4?
i’m not looking to get one of the multi switch panels that go in the center console or above the compass area as i don’t have multiple accessories to utilize one of those.

Stole this pic from another thread as it’s the same wiring for the rigid harness.
Not great with wiring so was wondering if anyone could help me out. Not a fan of the toggle switch that came with the rigid lights.

This may help the wiring. I used a Dual switch, but same idea to wire a single switch:

Did you get a small or large CH4x4 (Left side or center console switch?)
There is a tab on their page that shows the wiring.

Small center switch, for this one to make things simple you would eliminate the Red 2. (Most switches don't have this option., they only light up when flipped on).

I got the large switch to go to the left of the steering wheel
I think one of the wires need to be tapped to a wire that will illuminate the lettering when the lights are turned on correct? I saw people use an add a fuse. Or just connect the wire by touching another wire that turns on when the lights go on.

Do so more reading or email CH4x4 with photos of the back of both switches. The wiring spec page is the same fort the small or large.

    1 wire ground (black)
1 wire to your relay harness (Green)
1 wire to an add a fuse which (to a fuse that only comes on with the key). (Red1)

the Ch4x4 switches are slightly unique. They have an option for part of it to be lit up when your dash lights are on (THis creates the need for the 4th wire that is tripping you up). Most switches like your rigid only have 3 and only light up when flipped on. Wire the 3 from you exisiting rigid setup to the corresponding 3 on the CH4x4.

The product is manufactured to fit in the OEM space available in your car or truck, simple to install
    • Single Pole Single Throw ON – OFF PUSH switch
    • Black hard surface rocker
    • Laser etched Legend
    • Single upper L.E.D light
    • Single lower L.E.D light
    • Upper light is ON when the switch is pressed IN
    • Lower light can be wired to separate dash light circuit
    • Rated at 3 Amp 12V
    • Wiring diagram supplied with switch

    Good luck

Yeah i found a video and think i got it now.
They can be wired to either have the picture and text on at all time or the text only when the lights are on and the picture on when the switch is pushed. I think that’s how i’m going to wire it!

question, do I need to wire in the backlight to a fuse tap? or can I just let that wire, red 2, from the CH4x4 button, hang free?

You don't "need to", you can:
    1. Not connect to anything, let it hang, switch will not be illuminated Blue when not on.
    2. Connect to red1 or a switched 12v, so Blue will be on at all time until you turn lights on then it will turn to Green
    3. Connect to tail light circuit 12V, Blue blacklight will be on when tail light is on.
