Thinking of taking the family here next weekend for a day trip. Drive up, eat lunch in the lookout, drive back. Sounds like the road up is pretty mild. High clearance 4x4 required, but stock should be fine. My wife isn't interested in anything more serious than that.

Anyone made this trip recently and can provide some feedback? I have never gone here, wanted to verify what I am reading online.

Ive made it to the lookout a couple times in a Subaru car, pretty much a perfect forest road the whole way up. Havent been this year yet.

Did you ever make it up? Beautiful spot and had the whole place to myself.

No I haven't. Between being on call every third week, and the kids getting sick, I ran out of time. This coming up weekend I am helping my in-laws move, following weekend I am on call, so maybe mid-september.

Prerunner with a e-locker friendly? My rig is back up and running so want to do some truck things and break it again.

:(. Will probably just stick to playing along i90. Exit 38 leads to a road going up that has a few fun spots.
