Got a mismatched / two tone topper and truck? It's the best way!

After scouring the internet, calling nearly every truck cap dealer in ME, NH and VT, messaging a bunch of people on FB marketplace, looking at 2 other used caps that didn't work out, putting up a "wanted" ad, and eventually setting an search alert thru the craigslist app, I finally found the one via craigslist. Leer cap, not exactly sure which model but I've messaged them to find out. It has the carpeted interior, I haven't done a proper install with gaskets and the wiring but after countless hours of searching, the deal of the summer has been made so I'm pretty psyched. My old truck is silver and this one's magnetic grey. Two-tone it is, maybe someday I'll paint it to match but that's not happening anytime soon. The truck still has some good dents and scratches because I bought it from a 95 year old man who couldn't see too good anymore, but he only put 22,000 miles on it in 7 years so....

 

Nice. Isn't the carpeted interior nice... I almost went cheap and did it myself, so glad I didn't. It's worth the 100 bucks I paid from the factory. Two tone all the way!

 

I can add to this as of today. 100 bones although I’ve already spent 50 on stuff for it

 

I look at a canopy of a different color, like a Blazer, Suburban, Jimmy, Bronco, Land Cruiser, 4-Runner. A solid break in colors and character.

 

Worth the work/wait, I'd say. Looks good.

 

How much did they run ya?

 

Here's my one-day old topper/truck mismatch. Got a great deal but had to eat some fuel/toll costs and driving misery to get it. Matte black would be ideal but good enough for now; don't plan on using it year round (but damn was it heavy).

Found a decent deal on a QuickSand topper. Any QuickSand toppers on black trucks? Thoughts on how this combo would work?

Seems a little high to me at 3K, but new this would run 4K with the rack (A new Leer with this build is running around $3370 OTD plus the $650 for the UpTop Overland Rack.)

What do you think a fair price for this topper/rack setup is?

Do it. Black goes with everything, even quicksand campers…. And vise versa.
I had a leer before this Super Pacific that I had bought new for over $3k and I sold it less than a year later for $2600.
Low ball them, worst they can do is say no.

The Metallic Grey wasn't setting with me. Now color-matched, and new Raceline Clutch wheels. The angle of the sun changes the depths of color.

Had the topper painted matte black from it originally being cement. Proud to still rep the mismatched gang
