Wanted an opinion on if a 2019 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road with 25K miles Toyota certified 46K out the door with the extended warranty is worth the price or not.

It’s worth whatever you’re willing to pay. But the msrp is 38k for a 2022

I'd say no, 19's a rough choice right now, they have no perks like the 20-22 models (carplay power seats)

But they command a high price. 17-18 is more ideal for lower price, and 20-21 is better for features.

Nothing is worth the price to me right now.

My 19 brand new was only 39. How is the used one that much more?

    It's a secret
Unless that Tacoma in question has some type of 24k Gold inlays or comes with a couple kilos of Unicorn Dust, it is not worth $46k...

This is one of the rare cases where new is cheaper.....if you can find a dealer that doesn't have too much of a markup....

It makes sense to ask a forum if the price is “near market value” because that’s pretty objective. But to ask if it’s “worth it”…how would anyone know the answer to that question except you? Totally subjective.

I paid about 36k plus the extended warranty for my new '20. I'd pass.

I really hate "out the door"
Are you in a 10% tax rate or zero %
    That's a $4500 swing right there.

Yes everyone’s truck was bought cheaper than current prices blah blah blah. Obviously that’s not the case now, and the economy, the market and the chip shortage issue isn’t going to fix itself overnight.

Post #2 is correct. It’s worth whatever the OP is willing to pay. If you need a new not new whip, you have to do what you got to do.

If the truck is what you are looking for, then it is worth it to you.

Regarding the extended warranty. Read the fine print on it closely. Make sure in writing that it covers exactly what is verbally implied, and is not dealer specific.

If all is legit and actually covers expensive items like motor, drive train, electronics/computers, then do the math and decide for sure it's worth it financially or not.

I have never been impressed with any extended warranty I've been offered in 32 years of buying new cars, lightly used cars and beaters. Not once!
