I took apart my dome light housing last night. I attempted to wire my new overhead 12 inch monitor to the wires from the dome light but had some issues. Please correct me if im wrong, the white/black wire is ground, blue is dimmer, and white is power, correct? The monitors new dome lights come with 3 wires, a yellow for door control, red for +12V, and black for ground. The way i hooked it up was yellow to blue, red to white and black to white/black. i ended up blowing a fuse but after replacing it the monitor lights come on when set to the on position but when they are set to DOOR nothing happens. they dont come on. What did i do wrong? If any of you guys can help out, please do. Thanks in advance.

Found a wiring diagram online and found out that blue is dimmer, black/white is ground, and white is power. I believe the monitor itself was wired wrong. Light would not come on when set to door.
