That's awesome. I know how great that feels.
I've never even seen a lunar rock Tacoma in person so they must be rare

 

While your excitement is understandable you do understand you have purchased nothing and have no contract for a 2021 TRD DCSB Premium MT being built on 10/20

What are you going to do when the truck arrives at the dealership and a $15k ADM is added to it? No signed contract equals no agreed upon selling price.

Do you not think that each salesperson has a list of buyers int their hip pocket that they will call the minute this truck arrives at the dealership?

How do you know that another salesperson has not also taken a "deposit" on this same truck?

How do you know that this same allotment isn't already sold and the buyer had the allotment changed to lunar rock?

The answer to these questions is you don't know and I'll bet your credit card hasn't been charged as there is no sales contract to attach/reconcile the payment to.

Again your excitement is understandable but your lack of knowledge how the auto sales industry works is showing

Didn't the man say in post #7 that he put the deposit down and got the deal in writing? Or is it that you just enjoy pissing in people's cornflakes?

 

I Agree. Have a 2019 SR5 4x4 now in cement gray but it has an AT and I do want a MT.

What the "MAN" said in his first post was: Needles to say I couldn’t get my credit card out fast enough and dropped the deposit immediately.

Perhaps he could have instead said: and PURCHASED the truck immediately.

And by the way what does he have in writing? Reading your credit card number over to the phone to a sales person does not equal a signed enforceable vehicle purchase sales contract.

Once again the OP's excitement is understandable but his naivety in purchasing a vehicle remotely is showing, especially in this sellers market.
