Yeah. They are just really behind right now. Ambushed with tons of new orders, more than they've ever had, as well as covid crap, but it's fine. My first tune pack took 6 days, so we will see on this one. No biggie though, I can wait.

Anyone using Microsoft surface pro? My MacBook got busted and the new Mac no longer supported Booy camp.

 

I do. It is a few years old but works fine

 

You can run Windows 11 through Parallels Desktop 17 on Apple silicon Macs... It is limited to using ARM-based apps right now, although supposedly Microsoft is working on an ARM emulator to run x86-based Windows apps in the ARM version of Windows 11

does anyone know how (hack)to get the original flash tool that’s registered to one particular computer onto a new computer?

 

You'd have to talk to Mat because that uses your PC's system ID rather than how it now goes off of your Master Key with VFTuner

Since you have older software, I'm assuming you are either an original dongle user or "dong-less" lol

In the former instance, you can upgrade to VF for free in exchange for sending your dongle back to him (black or purple device). In the latter, the upgrade price is $79.

This is pretty much if you want to be able to edit your own tunes

 

I use a Surface Go 2. Works well. Have to use a USB C adapter, but it works.

I already upgraded traded in my dongle but I’ve gotten into a few situations where I was using the new software and the truck wouldn’t start and the only way to get it back onto a tune was to use the old software I had loaded in my original computer. I’d like to have only one computer

 

I already had a couple Samsung adapters kicking around for my phone. They work perfect.

 

If there are issues you are encountering with the new software, you should message that to zendesk. Support@ovtune.zendesk.com

In the past instance I would have been screwed if I didn’t have the old program and had to rely on waiting to hear back from zendesk seeing that I was at my fathers house and he’d be without a truck til the issue was fixed. Call it an in case of emergency plan

 

With the new software, as long as you’ve got your master key, you *should* be fine to reinstall, update, whatever

I’m not aware of any issues with the current flash utility.

 

I’m not sure what happened but in the middle of the tune being installed it stopped and then the truck wouldn’t start and it did that every tune I tried to put in the truck with VF tuner. I’ve been tried the old program that I still had installed and was able to get the tune on the truck so that it would start, then redid the VF Tuner install and it worked
