Appreciate the heads up, I’m out of my current ceramic spray product (Meguiar’s) and was looking to try something new. Anyone know if this provides sun protection too?

I don’t think anyone believes it to be a true ceramic coating but as far as waxing the entire truck, it’s a pretty good option.

I used the Maguire's ceramic spray on my MGM and was so impressed I applied several coats to my red boat that gets 100% UV. The gloss lasted all summer and up until last week went I pulled it out of the slip for the winter. So, I'd say yes.

I read up on both the Turtle Wax and Macguire’s products and see “UV protection” in the online literature, what I really should have asked was whether this protection is compatible to wax.

Some people, and you may think this is crazy, will use a spray on hybrid ceramic spray and then wax over top, for additional depth of shine and UV protection. The vast majority of us don’t have time for such things, I’m just wondering if the wax has the hybrid spray beat for sun protection. My wife gets the garage and my Taco sits out in the driveway :(

I've been using this stuff for about 2 years now. I love it. I'm a huge Meguiar's fan. But their spray coating is harder to remove than this is.
I use this about once every 3 to 4 months. And touch it up with Meguiar's X-Press wax in between coats. And no I don't believe it's a true Ceramic coating. It's just another form of protection that works great for us that like to take a different route than a Ceramic coating.

This is the reason I haven't used mine yet. I put a McKee's 37 true ceramic coating on my DD last weekend and plan to use the Turtle Wax to maintain that coating.

My truck is black and less than a year old. I did clay bar it just before applying. That was easy too.

Just yesterday I used Micguire's spray wax. I bought some maybe a year ago it says some thing like hydrophobic some thing or other spray it on use the buffer on low speed no doubt about it, it works! The whole damn truck in some thing like a 1/2 hour!

I use the CMX spray. The first coat was pretty good, waited a day and did a second and its much better.

4 coats of sealant and 2 coats of wax and the gloss and depth stresses my phone’s picture taking ability out. 4 coats on rims. Love the metallic silver.

Haven’t heard anything negative about turtle wax ceramic products. I cut the ceramic soap with Meguires ultimate soap when washing wheels, frame and fenderwells. They seem to do the job. I do a final wipe down with Hydrosilex off road, the stuff beads up on the microfiber towel, but its freaking expensive.

I've been using the Turtle Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Polish and Wax along with the Ceramic Wash and Wax for a couple of years now. Great products. Dirt washes off easily after applying.

I applied 2 coats (24 hrs apart) of the Polish and Wax with a buffer in the spring. The buffer made a huge difference. Much better application and removed 90-95% of the micro swirls I had on the truck. I would definitely recommend this Turtle product.

I have the Turtle Ceramic Wax Spray Coating but haven't used it yet. I should use it in between applications but the Polish and Wax seems to last so there's no need.

I'll add to my initial comment. As I said I do like Meguiar's products as you can see. This product from Turtle wax is good enough to stray me from the Meguiar's flock. It is as good as OP says.

i'm thinking about ceramic coating my windshield once i get all the water spots off. The water spots on the glass are driving me insane.

This stuff works pretty well but it's a pain in the ass to use.

Clay it first. Using fine steel wool cuts water spots on glass especially if you use a cleaner wax with it. I use Rejex on my windows, hardly ever use my wipers. Also take the residue on the towel and run it across the wiper blades. Hate water spots.

I needed some of this stuff a year ago. In one year my paint looks like ass. I need to claybar and do the whole nine yards now.

You guys trucks paints looking better than new!!

Your wife and mine must be sisters as she gets the garage as well. After about 15 years of polishing out the clear coat of my boat and using every wax known to man, I have to say that the UV protection is superior to plain 'ol wax.
Now my brother just did his Corvette with some Nano product and the initial shine was totally off the hook. He never drives it except for Sunday church and at that, it's only when there is no chance of rain!

Mostly I ask because I read all these horror stories about Tacoma paint getting too much sun and getting damaged, and it hits me right in the worry wart.

I could park in the garage too except for her boxes of stuff that literally goes untouched for years. If I had bigger balls or wanted a divorce I’d just park my truck in there and say, there’s space for you too if you throw out all that shit! But, I have regular sized balls and desire to stay married.
