Do I like it? Yea.. but I'm more of a doer than a watcher.

Never had the time or money to do any of the real rally racing, but growing up I did a lot of my own.. Logging roads, winter roads... Driving a 77 celica sideways about everywhere I could.
Eventually broke that poor car nearly in half once it was all rusty ... made a right hand turn transitioning from flat onto a hill (chasing a 260z).. went in so hard, the suspension hit stop and the subframe cracked right near the clutch pedal. SOld it to a guy who patched it up and did dirt track racing and bought an 84 celica.

    +1 on the group B.

I had watched modern rally before and never was very interested, but the second i saw group B i was amazed. It's sooo much more fun to watch because of the way they had to drive. They had no antilag with huge turbos and simple 50/50 torque split AWD with no fancy center diffs. So they had to be redlining the engine at all times to keep the turbo spooled up and they had to spin the tires a lot more around corners to keep the car pointed where they wanted it to due to the simple awd. They were much better drivers. They actually had to shift a real manual trans and had to brake with their left foot while mashing on the gas with their right through every turn to keep the turbo spooled.

Just the fact that every single part of the car was inferior to modern cars, except they had twice the power and they had to drive in a way more wild style in order to go fast makes it much more entertaining to watch. Plus the cars sound 10x better without the antilag. Group B makes modern rallying look crazy easy in comparison.
