Hey y'all, I installed an SPOD Bantam X and am trying to hook up two Diode Dynamics SS3 ditch lights, HOWEVER, I cannot get them to turn on. I am using the original relay harness that came with the SS3s and tried with the relay and also tried cutting the relay off and straight wiring to the SPOD but to no avail. Any help greatly appreciated.

with the spod you dont need the relay harness.
Check by hooking the lights directly up to the battery to make sure they turn on. if thats working then move to the spod. make sure positive is hooked to positive and neg to neg.

Thanks for the advice! I tried hooking it up to the battery and it wouldn't turn on so I guess that's where I'll start. Would have been nice to have them working but I'll give DD a call on Monday and get it sorted out.

Yeah, both are dead. I think I messed up the wiring harness and cut something I wasn't supposed to. I'm going to rig up a separate harness and straight wire to the battery like you suggested.

Update for the sake of learning if someone else encounters this problem.

Seems that the wiring harness from DD was faulty. I made a new wiring harness and was able to get it to work mostly. I started by making a short harness and just trying to get one light to work then the other individually. Initially I would then splice the two together but that seemed to create more problems than was worth so I now have both lights individually direct wired to the #1 terminal. I did have to reset the BantamX by pulling the fuse and replacing it after a few seconds. After that it's been working fine.

Big thanks to John at SPod for working me through all of it.
