Much like Alabama’s 19-0 record and the Golumpkis I polished off for dinner…this bottle is gone.

My wife and I were celebrating her great aunts life (105 when she passed), I didn’t open any whiskey or bourbon (as my wife prefers gin), but it was surely a toast to life and a gift she sent via her will. Cheers folks hope we all live long and prosperous lives, share, and pass it down to those we love.

Good score this week, I know the Eagle Rare is good. My boss, who’s had some good suggestions for bourbon brought me this IW Harper 15 Year. Said it’s a top 3 on his list. I can’t wait to try it this weekend.

I’m new to the super fancy stuff, got this today.

    DD034D11-0297-41ED-A73D-E5BBD830FB36.jpg

This is their more rare stuff I guess.

They said the weller came in 2 hours before hand.

I wasn’t exactly a huge fan of the weller. I like four roses single barrel if that helps show my preference. Was looking at trying some of the Japanese stuff next.

I don't know that I'd call those bottles rare per se... If your looking to try Japanese that bottle of Hibiki Harmony is a great start. Can't see the price, but it's currently around $80 at low retail. Used to be less but Japanese is very popular and prices have gone up.

That's a good average price, not a steal (like Costco) but not robbery. I paid $99 for the two I have on a shelf currently. I was frustrated trying to find it for under 100 & just said "fuck it, I gotta have it".

One of my favorite days of the year when I see that shelf full of Hibiki for so cheap :spending:

Weller 12 then Weller Antique, in that order. But, hard to get and usually way overpriced. Google "wheated whisky" to see other wheaters that are more reasonably priced.
