My cab mount bushings are toast and I'mm going to try and replace them myself without a lift, just floor jack and jack stands.

Has anyone else done this? Just wondering what im getting myself into haha

    Thanks!

They seize and are a royal bitch.

So you can try to remove the long 19mm bolt and then lift the cab off.

But most 2nd gens are siezed and you have to remove them using the 2 14mm bolts that secure them in place.

Quality penetrating fluid, a small propane torch and quality tools are important.

I personally would leave them unless they are causing issues.

The front 2 are easily serviceable. Back 4 are a bastard.

Theyre absolutely gone and i hear and feel the front banging around.
Im a welder and beat on metal all day, ill get them out!

Im just unsure about the cab lift, can i do one side at a time or do i have to lift all 4 sides?

Loosen off all 6 and lift one corner at a time. Long 4x4 and a jack.

Then as a safety, use 2x4s inbetween body and frame to prevent a fall.

Long 4x4 for inbetween the cab and floor jack?

I definately planned jamming something between the frame and cab when i stuck my hands in there

Ya floor jack and long 4x4 on the pinch welds, you'll lift the cab like you would a unibody car. Just enough to change the mounts.

The top of the bolts need to be held, so minor interior removal is required as well.

I don't envy you. I'd rather fix dry wall haha.

I appreciate your help man, thank you!
I brought home a couple things from work to help get broken bolts out if thats what im in for.

The last pain in the ass thing i did was lower ball joints with the maddox press and a 1/2 milwaukee. The sleeve in the kit was too big so i had to make my own. The ball joints obviously happy where they were and i thought i was going to breaky impact. I had to tighten the press until i thought my gun would blow up and then hit it with a punch to move it.

I usually always give myself jobs like these

Is drywall easy to screw up?

Dry wall is my kryptonite lol. I'm a tech so I deal with these mounts on frame swaps. Toyota doesn't supply new ones so you have to suffer and re-use the rotten old ones.
