Question on 2-3" lift and TSS adjustment on 2019 TRD OR?

Hi Folks,

So we test drove several 2019 DCSB/LB OR Tacomas today and we really enjoyed them all!

We also test drove a 2019 DCSB Sport that the dealership had modified.

Something that the dealer brought up, they modify many Tacos for customers and have them for sale on the lot as well, is that the TSS needs to be adjusted and calibrated for the suspension lifts and larger tires that they install.

I have been searching for a few hours in the suspension thread but cannot find anything that relates to the TSS system that is on the 2019 or even the 2018 models for that matter.

Do any of you have experience with this?

If you did this on your Tacoma, did you run into any issues?

I have a 2018 Off Road LB. I first changed from the stock grill to a pro grill. TSS works great with no errors. Then, I lifted the truck 2" (or so) and the TSS still functions as it did before. I think with anything under 3" you won't have to re calibrate. Good luck!

 

I have a 2" lift and bigger tires with a pro grill, and I have had 0 issues. Just drove from Santa Cruz to San Diego today and I used adaptive cruise control for several hours and it worked great.

 

I have a 2019 OR with 3” lift and 285/75/16 BFG-KO2’s. Adds up to about 4” of total lift from the stock height. I commute about 45 miles daily round trip and have had no issues.
By the way, I love my lifted Tacoma!

 

Pretty sure they are just bullshitting you. By reset, they probably mean disconnect the battery temporarily...lmao
