Just a little bit of an update. I've started to learn to weld. Got my dad's essentially new Hobart welder and plasma cutter that's been sitting for nearly 3 years. Now I have to power to really beef my truck up with frame & axle reinforcements, skid-plates, and if I'm feeling adventurous, bumpers. Don't worry I'm not gonna chop it up.
    :welder:

I found these bad boys and I'm considering picking them up for $450. I am considering getting these for safety as well as comfort. Leather, heated, driver side powered. They are off a 2014 Ford Escape, and are all black. Thoughts? I'm definitely replacing the existing bench with buckets for safety though.

    Quick update:
-I just my Hella H4 headlight swap kit in! Still waiting for the heavy duty wiring harness to some in. 55w low beams/100w high beams.
-I have Smittybilt Super Seats on order, going to be here in 2-6 weeks (that's what Smittybilt said, pretty broad if you ask me).
-Also, I got my soundproofing in for whe I take the carpet & seats out. Doing the doors too.
-Next mod is gonna be big. Probably a bedbar with 4 Hella Light pods, or a winch bumper.
-Tailgate is on hold until better painting weather. Just gonna deal. Coming up on the 1 year anniversary. It'll get done I swear.

It's been a little while since I've been on TW and unfortunately, I was forced to sell the ole yota. It's that time in my life where I needed a car I can depend on to get me places without dealing with the constant repairs of an old truck. I got $10k for it with the shocking market for these things. I'm really gonna miss it, it was my first truck but it was for the best. Fast forward, I got myself a 2019 Toyota Tacoma DCSB TRD OR! And....moved to Florida for personal reasons. Unfortunately. But! Here's the new truck on the way to Florida:

Made it to Florida with max payload with no issues to report! This wasn't its first time either, went to Florida and back previously. My confidence in this truck is high, especially compared to my father's 2012 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins which was just breakdown after breakdown. Mainly the aftermarket turbo (oem blew up...twice) and emissions giving us all sorts of crap. Mom's 2019 T4R OR also made it without issue. Anyway enough about the move.

Here's a shot of one of my best buds in his beaut of a 1st gen before we parted ways for awhile. Built everything on it himself!

Took it on a road trip with friends from Tacoma, WA to Fort Bragg, CA! I was in a pinch for a soft topper to cover up all of our gear, and Softopper was on backorder at the time for a Tacoma. My girlfriend's dad had a soft topper for his Jeep Gladiator, and the dimensions were JUST snug enough that it fits. So if you're in a pinch for any reason, a Gladiator Softopper fits on a short bed Tacoma.

Once I start the process of modifying this Taco, aptly named "Rocky," I'll start a new build thread :)
