    Well friends, after years of riding in my dad's Gen 2 - it was time I got my own Taco. Meet my Gen 3 TRD Off-road.

    I'm based in South Jersey and have managed to have some trail fun in Vermont and PA but want to do things the "right" (see also: safe) way. Currently no mods but certainly looking to have some fun with it.

    First few things on the docket:
    - Cap? Maybe?
    - Tonneau cover
    - Black out emblems
    - ARB recovery points + shackles
    - Surfboard/kayak over-bed racks

    Any NJ, DE, MD, eastern-PA, etc. trails or meet-ups or literally anything welcome. Would love to fully dive into this new world and meet some new folks. Let me know which forums to read, people to chat up and whatever advice you might have!

    First question - what's something you wish you did in the first year with your new taco to make the experience even better? (Mods, trips, etc.) Let's hear it!

    As for first year moves:
    • fluid film the frame and keep it up yearly (assuming NJ uses salt in the winter);
    • read through all the stickies in the third gen section- get to know what others are experiencing with similar trucks;
    • Join your local thread;
