4wd computer and cruise control model are under the kick panels.

That said, it's all just wires. If you have the patience you can route them however you want. I don't know of any good examples of someone doing that. But would just to time and staying very organized to extend and run wires wherever you wanted.

If you left the kick panel and door trim, most of the wires would be covered. It's been a bit since I've pulled the carpet, but I think the only exposed wires outside those areas are the seat belt on d side and 02 sensor on the passenger.

That plug for the T4R looks an awful lot like the amber lights out of a 2nd gen Tacoma headlight for the blinker. I actually have a set from a 2013 tacoma screwed into the headlights in my 03. I believe I even have a second set of these lights that might be what you are looking for.

I’ll leave the kick panels. Those don’t bother me. Just wanting to get rid of the carpet. I get so much dirt inside it would be nice to be able to hose it out and not worry about the carpet. I’ll pull the carpet back one day and look to get a better idea. I always just remember every time I pull the kick panel to swap doors there’s wires everywhere

That looks sweet. What kind of adhesive did you use to secure the fabric?

Swapped out my carrier bearing last night. Didn't fix my driveline vibes unfortunately. About to order some axle shims from Toytec.

It came nearly finished when I bought the truck. I only had to fiberglass it for more support and paint it.

It was custom made using an aftermarket first gen grill and 3rd gen filler from a knock off grill.

Dang that looks good! My fabric is looking a little rough after all these years.

    Any write-up on the install?

Nope pointing to the rear. I looked at it like 10 times before bolting and torqued

Basically what Monte said. Most of the wiring is behind the lock panels for the controllers and fuse panel. The only two sets of wires that exist beyond that is the wires that go to the downstream 02 sensor after the second cat, and the main harness that goes to the back of the truck is the one that is under the drivers seat. It controls the tail lights, e locker, fuel pump, whatever else is back there. I remember pulling it all to the side when I boxed my frame and I tapped into those wires for my rear view camera trigger.

While you can for sure just run no carpet I think vinyl is a much better route for you if you just wanna wash it out with a hose for the most part. I’ve never hosed mine out but I have def taken just a wet car wash sponge to it and a towel and easily washed the floor with no concerns about mold.

More or less getting concerned about mold and just how nasty the carpet is. Last trip it poured rain and with the half doors, carpet got soaked and it’s still damp and it’s been over a week. Plan was to bed line it and not go crazy with the hose just have to clean everything up wiring wise.

the thing about the vinyl and adding some matting to the base is it can also provide a little bit of heat shielding in the cab as well as some sound deadening. I know yours gets trailered a bunch so that’s less of a concern, but I do feel like you are going to hate the bed linered look, especially since the floor isnt smooth.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

    100% ^^^ What he said.

The heat shielding alone is definately worth looking at vinyl instead of truck bed liner.

I sound deadend / heat shield (basically bututhane with heat shield foil) and did vinyl in mine. LOVIN it so far.
