I’m looking for specifics here. Anybody running 285s with a Westcott lift on OEM TRD Pro wheels with wheel spacers? If so any rubbing?

Why is it, without fail, the people who spend the most on their truck wanna put the cheapest ass trash they can find on it?

OP Fuck a spacer lift, jack that bitch up 6 inches and chop that frame. Don't be a pussy.

285s rub full lock unless you use arms. People for some reason don't consider full lock to be rubbing. I hate it and would not run 285's unless I had adjustable arms or CMC.

It's a little annoying to have to remove a good suspension to get more lift. But preload spacers are awful to drive.

I get 0.5" top hat spacers for a little lift. But thats about it.

Come on TW, they are just asking for specifics for running 285/something/somethings with undefined width wheel spacers and y'all won't even give them a straight answer. Sheesh.

If you live in Phoenix, go see them at Wescott. Super helpful. You can fit 285’s and they will get it to not rub but may need CMC.

Actually every post that talked shit calling the wescott a spacer lift….which it is, got deleted. There was helpful information. Apparently a mod didn’t agree.

Is it a spacer lift though? It isn’t an actual spacer on top of the coilover, it’s a collar at the bottom.

A few OE parts from fancy trucks
It is not. It's a kind of derivative of the Bilstein multi perch system on the 5100's that many fawn over. Preloads the OE springs on the OE FOX system.

Says right on their site its a preload system.

Preload lifting is loved by many, and I'm sure it's fine for most.

However, it restricts down travel and risks coil bind on full compression. After screwing with autox suspensions for a number of years, I'm more in favor of picking the right parts to accomplish the goal. For some folks these may be the right parts. Others, not so much.

The above post is correct in principle, however you can call it what you want and make it sound different but the collar is a preload spacer…it’s thicker and it lifts the vehicle….it’s still a spacer. Plus the kit it comes with a top hat spacer.

If we want to pretend to care what the website says, Wescott website says it doesn’t effect the ride quality and you keep the factory tuning but clearly that can’t be the case….and that it doesn’t effect travel…lol

THEN THE REAR…is a spacer lift. Like straight up blocks.

..so yes…it is a form of spacer lift.
